CaFÉ Terms and Conditions(Required)

Agreement to Pay Service Fees:
To submit this form, you must agree to pay the service fees for each contest.

Billing Method:
As applicable, service fees will be billed to you upfront or offset against eligible entry fee payments.

Applicability of Billing:
Billing will occur regardless of the payment method chosen.

Insufficient Entry Fees:
If entry fee payments collected are insufficient to cover the service fees, you are responsible for the remaining balance.

Refund Policy:
Service fees are non-refundable, except for a contest order cancellation made within 30 days of the order date and if the contest has not been published.

Refund Within 30-Day Period (Paid Contests):
If you cancel your order within this 30-day period, and we receive payment for the contest, the service fees will be refunded to you.

Cancellation Within 30-Day Period (Offset Against Entry Fees):
If you elect to offset the service fees against eligible entry fee payments and cancel your order within this 30-day period, you will not be billed for the service fees.

Responsibility After 30 Days:
After 30 days, you are responsible for the service fees regardless of whether the contest is used or unused.

Choose the Best Jury Type for your Call

Choose the right jury type for your call. If you want to learn about CaFÉ's jury types visit the help center.

Scoring by Art
This means that each individual artwork is judged separately. Each entry will only contain 1 work sample.

Example: An artist submits 5 paintings. Jurors give a separate score to each one. Some may be accepted, others may not.

Best for: Gallery exhibitions, art competitions, open calls for specific works.
Considerations:

Artists can not add additional work samples after submitting their application.
Artists can not apply multiple times within the same profile.
Scores are assigned per artwork (1 image = 1 score)

Can this be changed later? No, once an application is submitted, the jury type is locked.

Scoring by Application
The artist’s full submission (portfolio) is judged as a whole.

Example: An artist submits 5 paintings. Jurors give one score for the entire portfolio.

Best for: Artist residencies, fellowships, public art, programs selecting artists rather than artworks.

Considerations:

Artists can add additional work samples after submitting their application.
Artists can apply multiple times within the same profile.
Scores are assigned per application (1 application = 1 score).

Can this be changed later? No, once an application is submitted, the jury type is locked.
